POLICIES Covid-19 Winter 2020

Wearing Of Face Masks

All coaches, staff, parents, guardians, and non-participants at Blazing Paths with Fastpitch Softball will be required to wear a face mask during the entire time. If you do not have a mask, we cannot allow you to come into the facility.

According to the NYDOH: Responsible Parties must ensure a distance of at least six feet is maintained among individuals at all times, whether indoor or outdoor, unless safety or the core activity (e.g. practicing, playing) requires a shorter distance. If a shorter distance is required, individuals must wear acceptable face coverings, unless players are unable to tolerate a face covering for the physical activity (e.g. practicing, playing); provided, however, that coaches, trainers, and other individuals who are not directly engaged in physical activity are required to wear a face covering.

Drop Off / Pick Up Circle

Players can be dropped off in front of the building and will go through a screening process.

Screening

All players entering the facility must complete the health questionnaire prior to each session. Parents can can click this link and submit easily.

This is a mandatory form to determine if a player can participate in the session.

Thermometer Checks

Anyone entering the facility will be subject to a non-contact thermal temperature check. Anyone with a temperature at or above 100 degrees will not be permitted into the facility.

Restrictions On Numbers, Spectators and Length of Stay

Given the 50% capacity limitations at the facility parents or spectators will be limited to one person per session. It is preferred that non-participants will stay outside of the building for drop-off & pick-up routines. Once a booked activity is completed, it is expected that the individual or group will leave the premises no more than 5 minutes after the conclusion of the session.

Social Distancing

Social distancing will be maintained in all non-training areas of the facility. Social distancing may or may not occur within the training/activity areas of the facility. In those instances where non-social distancing activities or drills are occurring, face masks will be worn by all participants. We will post social distancing markers using signs that denote 6 ft. of spacing in commonly used and other applicable areas on the site.

Sanitization and Cleaning of Facility

Hand hygiene stations will be available for personnel and clients alike including hand washing with soap & water in the bathroom. Other efforts to promote a safe and sanitary environment will include regular cleaning by a defogger and sanitizing air filters for general maintenance. In addition any shared equipment will be cleaned after each time of use ( ie. catcher’s gear, face guards etc.).

Positive Covid Test

In the event that we become notified of a positive COVID-19 test for either a staff member or a client that has been to the The Cages facility, we will work with appropriate health officials for contact tracing protocol and notification to others that may have been infected.

Make-ups and Credit

If a player should not be able to attend a session

  • No shows are not eligible for make-ups. Please communicate in advance if your child can not make a session.

  • If the player feels sick or restricted because of Covid-19 safety guidelines issued from their home school, please note those sessions can rollover for credit.

  • There is no refund for missed sessions. Players may rollover their credit for any program. Credit has an expiration date of 1 year from the date the registered program was completed.
